Work Wear #01

Hi y'all!

A couple weeks ago I started taking quick photos of what I wore in the morning as I was rushing out the door. I work in the accounting industry so obviously that comes with a stereotype of boring, conservative work wear. While I stick to my company's dress code (business casual), depending on my client I can get away with wearing different styles. I plan to post different outfits I wear each week to help anyone else with inspiration on your week wear and to challenge myself to keep switching things up! Let me know if you like this type of post or if there's something else you're interested in seeing from me!

Jersey Peplum Dress - Ann Taylor | Cardigan - Ann Taylor | Michael Kors Large Hamilton Tote - via Nordstrom

Top - LOFT | Pants - Halogen via Nordstrom (similar) | Tory Burch Reva Flats (similar) | Henri Bendel Carlyle Satchel

I fell in love with this top last year. Unfortunately, the material is see through so I have to wear a tank underneath.... one of my biggest pet peeves. I hate when collars touch my neck... another of my biggest pet peeves so for those two reasons, this top is not my favorite. I have only worn it a couple of times and will more than likely end up selling/donating it.

Shell - Ann Taylor | Cardigan - Ann Taylor | Marisa Ponte Pants - LOFT | Bow Pumps - Halogen via Nordstrom | Key Necklace - Tiffany and Co

I am absolutely obsessed with ponte pants! They are basically thick leggings which look fabulous without the worrisome see-through faux pas. These ponte pants were from LOFT last season and I still haven't been able to find another pair. They are my favorite and I try not to wear them too often so I don't wear them out *sad face*

Dress - ShopSosie | Bow Belt - via Nordstrom | Bow Heels - Halogen via Nordstrom | Earrings - Kate Spade

If you know me, it's safe to say that I am stripes obsessed. When I ran across this little number on ShopSosie, I HAD TO have it. HAD TO!! However, sometimes I feel like the hem line is pushing it for office wear. While it's not quite a mini dress (like half way up my thigh), it's probably a half inch too short for my normal hem line. I rocked it though at a casual dressed client though.

Dress - Target | Cardigan - Ann Taylor | Bow Belt - Halogen via Nordstrom | Tory Burch Caroline Flats

I've had this Target dress for a while. I love the bow neckline and herringbone print. The flats I ended up returning because I got them in a size 8 (1/2 bigger) thinking they would fit like the Reva flat but they were too big. Also, I wasn't crazy about the shade of nude or how the elastic looked on me.... so back they went!
